PEAK ENERGY is a platform that develops, owns and operates renewable assets across Asia Pacific, to provide corporate customers with renewable energy to power their operations.

An experienced team handles the complete life cycle of our energy assets from origination and development through to operations and decommissioning, employing state-of-the art technology and the industry best practices, respectful of the environment and following world-class HSE standard.

We believe in establishing long-term partnerships with our corporate customers, to accompany them on the path of decarbonization, without increasing their energy costs but actually realizing savings.

Our technological and HSE standards, and our business practices, are standardized across the APAC region, however at the same time we believe in forming quality partnerships with strong local partners, not only customers but also EPC, vendors, channel partners.

Gavin Adda

Gavin Adda is the CEO of Peak Energy with responsibility for renewable energy across Asia Pacific. PeakEnergy is the renewable energy developer for Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners in Asia with a focus on solar, on-shore wind and battery infrastructure and includes some of the largest projects in Korea and Japan.

Previously, he was CEO of TotalEnergies Renewables Utility Scale (Asia) and Distributed Generation(Asia) which was formed when he sold his start-up to TotalEnergies. It subsequently became the largest B2B-focused renewable player in the region before being merged with ENEOS to form a USD 2 Bn joint venture.

Based out of Singapore, Gavin is also a Board Director of Maxeon Solar Technologies (NASDAQ:MAXN),a Board Director of Lindström Group and Co-Chair of the Sustainability Committee at the European Chamber of Commerce.

Prior to TotalEnergies, Gavin founded several start-ups in the renewable sector. This includes CleantechSolar one of the largest developers in India, now partly-owned by Shell and Keppel.

At REC Solar, one of the largest, non-Chinese solar panel manufacturers, he ran several departments and launched a corporate turn-around, re-focusing the company on the DG sector. He sold the company to ChemChina for USD 640m (the largest solar M&A deal in ’15).

Previously, he had various management roles in Samsung Group. This included developing, constructingand financing a USD 1 Bn portfolio of utility-scale solar projects and launching a JV with one of the largest, independent solar developers in the US.

Gavin has an MBA from INSEAD and a Master’s Degree from Cambridge University.

Japan Country Head

Eiji Sato

activities relating to operations for At Peak Energy throughout Japan. Prior to joining Peak Energy, Eiji was the UPP Business Development Head of TotalEnergies – Renewables Japan, Director of Business Development, Solar Projects at Solariant Capital, and Representative Director at Trina Solar Japan Energy.

Eiji has been involved with project development, engineering and construction of PV projects. To date, he has completed 46 solar projects in Japan. Prior to Trina Solar Japan Energy, he was the Representative Director of the Japan Branch of WSP (former Persons Brinckerhoff, USA Company) and was involved in engineering service and consulting of railway projects in Vietnam, India and a nuclear power plant projects in UK. He’s held various management positions including Country Manager at a Industrial Filtration Business Unit of MAHLE (Germany Company). He graduated from Tokai University, Japan with a degree in Civil (Architecture) Engineering. Eiji has extensive overseas experience in Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, German, and Thailand.

Finance Director

Yoshihiko Kusuda

Yoshihiko Kusuda has over 30 years of experience in renewable energy, commercial real estate, and structured finance at major financial institutions. He currently leads project finance related activities for Peak Energy Japan. Yoshiko provides over 10 years’ experience in the development and finance of renewable energy projects, including the development of over 30 large-scale PV facilities.

Major achievements include, structuring the first Japanese CMBS transaction backed with YK-TK (current GK-TK) / Real-estate Trust / Limited-recourse loan structure in 1999, and establishing Libertus Housing Loan, a subsidiary of Lehman Brothers specializing in mortgage loans for investment property. After establishing Liberty, Yoshiko acted as its Representative Director.

Yoshiko holds a Bachelor of Economics and Juris Doctor from Waseda University and an MBA and Mastère Spécialisé from HEC, France.

Country Head of Peak Energy Korea

Jaepil Park

Jaepil Park is the Country Head of Peak Energy Korea. He is a solar business development specialist with 18 years of experience in project evaluation, risk identification, EPC, and project financing, among other areas.

JP has been a pioneer in Korea’s solar PV development industry. He has a proven track record in project development, having worked on numerous successful projects since 2006 at LG CNS in Korea. In 2010, he assumed the role of Business Development Lead at SunEdison Korea. In 2012, he joined OCI Company, the second largest poly-silicon manufacturer, to lead its newly established solar PV project business. In 2015, OCI began researching the Indian solar market, and in 2016, JP was sent to India as head of business development. He successfully established an OCI subsidiary in New Delhi and built a new development team. He subsequently returned to Korea and initiated the development of a new business for OCI, focusing on solar EPC/O&M operations and project financing. He then joined UPC Renewables, where he established UPC Solar Korea, a solar development and IPP company, and devised the corporate strategy, developing pipelines exceeding 300 MW. In the subsequent company, Metka G.C., he was responsible for the EPC process of the 23 MW Taean project.

JP holds a Bachelor’s degree from Seoul National University and an MBA from the University of Seoul. He also has National Technical Certificates of Electricity.

Head of Sales, Power Sales & Marketing

Lorenzo Mancini

Lorenzo brings over 20 years of commercial and business development experience across Asia.

In his tenure at TotalEnergies Renewables DG, Lorenzo has built and managed sales teams to spearhead the company’s entry in the distributed generation business across several markets in South-East Asia including Indonesia, Vietnam and Malaysia, successfully negotiating power purchase agreement contracts with multinational companies across multiple jurisdictions for 250+ MW capacity.

In Hitachi Chemical Lorenzo has developed the battery and energy storage business across South-East Asia and Australia for UPS, telecom and renewable energy corporate customers out of Singapore.

Prior to that Lorenzo developed the commercial strategy for Chinese market entry for the Koerber Group Tissue and Paper machinery division, based in Shanghai.

Originally from Italy, Lorenzo has lived and worked in Asia for nearly 20 years.

Lorenzo holds a MS/BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Padova, Italy and an MBA from SDA Bocconi, Milan Italy.
